Paving in Valleyview Residential Subdivision

Southwest Paving Ltd will be starting the paving in the Valleyview Residential Subdivision either today September 21st, or tomorrow September 22, 2023.
R.M. of Swift Current Declares a Local Emergency
At a Special Meeting of Council held on July 14, 2023, the R.M. of Swift Current No. 137 declared a Local Emergency within the borders of the Rural Municipality, due to extreme drought conditions and the infestation of the grasshoppers and the gophers. This drought we are experiencing is resulting in the crops burning, pasture land under stress, some hay crops nonexistent and dwindling water supply in the dugouts.
