ROAD RESTRICTION – Spring Road Restrictions
FIRST ORDER: 1-26, March 9, 2026
IN ACCORDANCE with Bylaw No. 6-2020 of the Rural Municipality of Swift Current No. 137 and with the regulations prescribed by the Minister of Highways & Transportation;
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that effective 12:01 a.m., March 10, 2026 and until further notice all the public roadways in the R.M. of Swift Current No. 137 shall have the operation of Tractors and other Vehicles restricted to:
Steering Axle
- 10.0 kg per mm (560 pounds per inch) width of tire (manufacturer’s stamped dimension) to a maximum of 5,500 kg on the steering axle for a truck or truck tractor equipped with a single steering axle.
- 11,000 kg on the steering axle group for a truck or truck tractor equipped with a tandem axle steering group
Other Axles
- 25 kg per mm (350 pounds per inch) width of tire (manufacturer’s stamped dimension) to a maximum of 1,650 kg (3,638 pounds) per tire.
REGULAR WEIGHTS PERMITTED ON THE ROADS WHEN THE TEMPATURE IS -6 DEGREES OR LOWER
